MALEKAN, SAEED, singer, traditional Persian, Baha’i and Zoroastrian sacred music expert
Saeed Malekan studied Persian singing techniques at Barbad Music Center in Iran. He acquired advanced singing techniques of the Persian Modal system and the style of the famous Persian singer Mohammad Reza Shajarian. He developed a rich repertoire of Persian traditional melodies and Baha’i chants contained in the Radif Almanac of Persian traditional music.
He has been performing for over 2 decades as a soloist, also as member of the Nava Ensemble, 7 Valley Ensemble and the Rona Ensemble. Now he is a permanent member of the Mehr Ensemble.
